I believe you. :) The person who recently made a post and included a Photoshopped picture mentioned that people were free to "help out" if they wanted to. You never mentioned wanting freebies. Anyway, I don't know anything about corruption, but I wanted to tell you I'm sorry it happened to you. At this point there's probably nothing you can do but restart.

I have a physical copy of AC:NL, and I think it just happens equally with either the physical or digital.
Please don't fret! If it ever does happen to you, just know I'll be here to talk to you about it :).

So far, thank you for those who have been leaving helpful and nice replies! I appreciate it!

I had my AC:NL ever since it came out and so this situation made me really upset but I'm glad that you guys are being nice to me about this! I'm thinking about restarting it and not making the town the same, but waaaay different. And hopefully when I get everything back on track, I could visit other towns and make new AC:NL friends! ^_^

You could always try again. You said you took a really long break, so now would be a great time to restart the town and make it better than before.
 
I wonder if all these data corruptions have anything to do with removing the SD card from the 3DS.I have several NL cartridges,played on three different 3DS's and I've dropped all of my 3DS's more than a few times but I've never removed the SD card from any of my machines(I use Webrender to upload screenshots)and I've never had a data corruption.

The SD card plays a HUGE role in a lot of corruptions. If you regularly take your SD card out, make sure to gently dust it on occasion. And NEVER move/delete files unless you are certain it is what you are looking for.

So sorry to hear your data got corrupted, that really sucks! :(

If you have a psychical copy, you can try backing up your data. As long as you don't lose your cartridge, if your data got corrupted again you can just load your last backup :)
