Saharah stole my wallpaper

Hey all,
I had the mermaid floor and wallpaper in my main room and I paid Sahara 3000 bells to make over my room, Sahara gave me back my mermaid floor, but not the wallpaper. I can't re-order it from the nook boys so I'll have to wait until it turns up on my island again which is a bit of a pain.
Is this normal that you only get one bit back rather than floor and wallpaper?

Um, I don't know if it's normal, but I always change back to the common wall and common floor before letting her in my house... Just in case!

aww dang, it was the first time i'd ever encountered Saraha. In future I think i will change back to common wall/floor before letting her in
i've tried to speak to her again to see if she will give me the wallpaper back but nothing

It only shows her giving back the wallpaper or carpet, but usually both show up in your inventory. I'd double-check if I were you.

As for the glitches in the digital copy, I don't think that's accurate at all. I know many people who play the digital only (including myself) and haven't had ANY issues at all. I've had Saharah a few times and she always gives back both.

This. When I saw her only giving my carpet back, I was worried she'd eaten my wallpaper or something, but it was just there in my inventory.

Maybe you accidentally sold it after thinking she didn't give it back?

I checked my inventory, I didn't have anything in it at all before she visited, and then afterwards only 1 item, my floor. First thing I go out looking for all my fruit so I leave all my tools at home to maximise inventory space, but I saw Sahara before I saw fruit so I know my inventory was empty.

Also, I posted this at 8.37am, when Retail wasn't even open so there is no way i could have sold it (I never sell to the nook boys)

I've really not had any issues playing on a digital copy.

Perhaps your inventory was full at the time(I thought I read that you said it was empty) but if it was full except for one space, then Sahara would just send you other piece in the mail.

my inventory was empty, I've played today and got no mail either. Guess I'll just need to wait for it to turn up on the island again *sigh*

The digital version is glitchy, mostly because it downloads off the internet.Bad download speed can corrupt some files

Also, the animation shows her giving back 1 item, but you get both. Always have inventory space open

Also, powering off the game is always a good idea.Even if you decided to build the reset center.

BTW, you could have quit without saving when it happened . . . that might have worked.

My husband swears that twice Saharah has stolen either his wallpaper or carpet. In both cases she has given a carpet and a wallpaper back but one or the other was not correct. I told him he was crazy the first time. I play on a different ds and she has come several time and I have always gotten my correct stuff back. The second time though I agreed that this indeed had happened. Has anyone else ever had this problem? I think I will do what one poster said and switch back to the common before I let her in!

I get saharah to do my house almost everytime she shows up, I always get both back.

My friend thoroughly compared the physical and digital copies, there is nothing wrong with the digital copy.
