Safest way to cycle villagers

Upon experimenting with Chow I found a easy and safe way to cycle villagers. This is for people who already have a town of 8 or 9 and want villagers without losing any of theirs.

TT forward (or wait) a day and talk to the villager you want to cycle 5x (or more if you so wish). Then TT forward another day and do the same, talk to him 5x. After two days, TT (or wait) another day back (or forward) and keep talking to him. You should also talk to other villagers about 5x to make sure no one is moving.

just keep going back and forward once at a time. Your villager will eventually ping you to move.

I want to try this but when you time travel back say 3 months in one go does it affect you?
