I went insane trying to breed blue roses and purple hyacinth, so I just ended up buying them at less than 1nmt each. It's just as gratifying once you process the time and headache saved.

Flower breeding is such a pain! I just started a new island and I've got like no cute hybrid flowers and it's driving me batty. Sometimes you just have to step away and focus on something else on the island and then after a rainy day you'll notice something has changed! Most of my hard to grow hybrids were done by accident!

This. I know that it's more satisfying to do it yourself but I bought mine to save me hours and hours of time. I have not regretted it at all.

The rain helps alot. unfortunately I don't get rain until I start digging up a ton of flowers to get rid of them lol or when I re-terraform my whole island. They really should have added a way to get rid of lots of flowers at once. I hope they do in the future.

i will never be flower breeding, it seems so.. stressful. i've never wanted to do it and i really only like the white flowers anyway so it's fine. but my friend gave me a few black roses which i used to decorate coco's house! she's really good at breeding and if i ever really need any flowers, she helps me out and that's been nice!

If it's proving to be too stressful, leave it to the side for a while and work on something that'll make you more happy

I think the only hybrids I grew myself were pink and black roses aha. I later allowed someone to dump a bunch of hybrids on my island and after leaving them all in the rain for a while, I now have nearly every hybrid color stored on my beaches I'll have to get rid of some of them though, since I mostly just use white flowers on my island
