let us not forget, this game could possibly have been in development for the past five years, we all know the wii was started shortly after the gamecube came out, so this isn't quite that far fetched.
I'm hopeful it comes out next year, i'll be in another country in 2008.
Notice that Eguchi said that he plans on another AC for the DS, and that AC Wii couldn't have possibly been in development for five years and not be out yet.

I'm betting AC2 turned into ACDS, then probably got morphed into the Wii version... They've given us tidbits of the Wii version since before the name "wii" was even announced, and Animal Crossing has never been a graphical powerhouse, i'm betting it could be done early, plus, they've got updates with wiiconnect24, they could add things in whenever they see fit, fix glitches (yay, no more universal codes, or AR.), and even add items or holidays.
The game could honestly be out now, or a few months, granted, they haven't said anything... and there is no more e3, so its going to be kinda weird learning about it, but i'm hopeful that it'll be here before 2008.
