Lucky did the same thing to me yesterday! His house is in my crowded southern area where hes sandwiched between a house and a cliff and the path I had to make around it is so wonky :^/ it was originally the very corner area leading to a different villager's house so now you have to walk in a loop to get there.

Yep, plot resetting is the only way to go. But Ruby is so adorable, you cannot stay mad at her for long. I actually have Ruby in two of my seven towns I love her so much.
