Roof color question!

I decided to buy WW despite not being able to upgrade to Nookingtons!
I know that paint is only buy-able from there, but I also read that the starting color is based off your menu color. That's really handy since I'll (probably) never be able to buy paint.

...BUT, l'll be playing on a 3DS. So, does that still happen?

Also, what colors can you start with, anyway? It appears that there's a LOT of shades.

I assume only the first and (maybe) second row?

It isn't a big deal at all! Do you know if you can only start off with the first row of colors though?

Ah, I just read on the wiki that you can change it during upgrades, that's great.

The "favourite colour" is still an option on the 3DS. You'll find it in the system settings.
