Rodney or Marshal?

Recently my friend obtained Marshal in his town and is offering me to keep him. The only problem is I love all my villagers, and the only one I am willing to give up is Rodney being sadly my least favorite. I've had Rodney since near the being I got Animal Crossing New Leaf, and I would be very sad to lose him. He may not have the prettiest mug but he's my little gaming hamster (because of the original design of his house), and he wants to be a chef/cook (I love food~).

Marshal on the other hand if I do replace Rodney with him, IDK if I would have the same attachment I have with Rodney. I know some people being to not like their dreamies after time. The only attachment I can think of with Marshal is he reminds me of my boyfriend who loves marshmallows (seriously, we are obsessed over marshmallows) and his sloppy interior (yeah he messy as well lol). But I don't think that a good thing to remember a villager by... It's just, its Marshal lol. Again I love food~

I even asked my boyfriend's opinion on it and he said look at Marshal's eyes. D:
... I think he wants me to keep Rodney lol.

So what's your guys' opinion? Sorry if I sound like a baby lol, but I care a lot about this game~

Yeah that's the problem, its Marshal lol.
Pick a villager you have an attachment with that's not very pretty, or pick a villager that is a dreamie but IDK if you would have an attachment with... :/

I personally like Marshal better. But you seem to really like Rodney so I'd say visit your friends town and talk to Marshal a lot to see if you'd actually like to have him in yours. Maybe visit dream addresses that have him so you get to see what it would be like if you had him in your town.

I didn't really like Marshal much at first. I got him for free and was considering giving him away until he became best buddies with Zell who's close to my favourite villager. Now I'm really glad I have him around so Zell pretty much saved him from being tossed out of my town.

I was planning on getting rid of my original villager, Purrl, for a really really long time. Now I just don't have the heart to do it. She wasn't someone I would have made a dream villager if I hadn't had her, but I'm glad I kept her around!

Imagine your town without Rodney and see how you feel about it. If you feel like Marshal would be able to fill his shoes, then go for it anyway!

He personally hates Marshal, he ruined his path lol. He wants him out now, but I suggested to him he should just sell him. He's also looking for in-game bells.

If I was in your position, I'd probably end up regretting picking Marshal over a villager I've grown to love. ; u ; Your friend can always sell Marshal on the villager exchange if he's wanting to get rid of him!

I personally hate Rodney. I dunno, I don't like the hamsters aside from Hamlet and Flurry and the fact that Rodney looks like he has depression doesn't help either.

I understand, I was the same when he first moved into my town lol, but he grew on me. I personally not crazy about Marshal, however I like him mostly due to his marshmallowly goodness.

Also may I ask how you think Rodney looks depression...? I don't see it. Rodney reminds me of a nerdy gamer, and not all gamers are pretty specially when you spend hours glued to a computer/tv screen lol.
