Ever since I unlocked PwP last week not ONE villager suggested any projects. Yet they complain about how empty the town is. Am I doing something wrong here? Is this normal for them not to suggest anything after a week?
I know this has been answered but I'm just going to add something that you may or may not have known (if that's okay).
I'm not too sure about additional bridges but, since the campsite is permanent, it does not count towards the 30 PWP limit, and same goes for any PWPs that cannot be destroyed (Ex. Campsite, Cafe, Reset Centre, etc.)

Also if you go diving and stay out of the villagers sight they will ping you. I looked it up and you set the timer you get from T&T to 5 minutes and hide near the dock when you go back into town they will ping you. You can box them in if need be to find them but they could also ping you about a favor do that then go back and do it again and eventually they will ping you for PWP. I have also done this myself with tons of success but I tend to only do it when I have nothing else to do in my town and they haven't said anything about one in awhile. Hope this helps!

I second what Jessi said, though. The diving trick works after a couple of pings. You can get a PWP once a day if you're patient enough with that!
All as said, but I would also add keep talking to the villagers (with the Mayor) and always answer their pings - cos a PWP request can come at any time, its very tempting to ignore a ping when you are busy or carrying rares - but its been times like this when I get a PWP request.
Haven't tried the diving trick but would do if requests slowed down, (not everyone has success with it tho, well not consistent success, so don't take it as a total guarantee of working). And I too get a lot of PWP for road signs etc, all the ones I don't want!
Make sure you have all villager personalities in town & as advised above, have a PWP list and who requests what.
