Rock Garden Advice?

I decided to move my rock garden after tearing down its previous location, and while I was lucky enough that I had no issues the first time around, I can't seem to get my last rock to spawn this time.

I thought I had it set up okay, but idk. Do custom patterns in close proximity mess up rock spawns??
I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong this time.

edit: I removed the bit of fence and the two nearest trees and it finally spawned!

Try removing any trees/cliffs/buildings in the way.

I don't think the patterns will affect its spawn. Did the rock spawn in a different area than desired? If so, try doing the mannequin method (although I'm guessing that's how you started your rock garden in the first place). If per chance you didn't, placing the custom pattern manequins all over your island will eliminate possible rock spawning placements in a square around each mannequin. You can easily do those all around (not needing to do them next to cliffs, or right next to rivers) to force the rock to spawn. If my explanation is poor, there are guaranteed youtube videos explaining it far better.

Assuming you did originally do the mannequin method though, and you have them still around your island with no other possible placements, it might be worth to try to erase the path in the spot that you want the rock to spawn.

This happened to me twice on my last rock and it kept spawning in the middle of flowerbeds and also once out of sight behind someone's house so quadruple check to make sure it isn't somewhere else.

Not sure about trees, but cliffs definitely affect where the rock spawns so trees might as well. As long as there's nothing "blocking the view" of where the rock spawns. You can always add in the trees/cliff after. I don't think there's a cliff in the way from looking at your picture? But in my case I had a cliff about 5 spaces in front of the rock location I wanted. My whole island was covered in patterns so it was the only possible location. As soon as I removed the cliff (had to remove about 5 chucks of it away) the rock spawned with no problem.

fill in the cliff where the bottom rightmost mannequin is. then try again. I had issues with something similar with a river placement that seemed far enough away but wasn't.

I think they meant to build up the cliff. I would also remove the fencing to the right of your island rep.

The last rock isn't spawning anywhere on my island. Usually when a new rock is formed there is a tiny rock next to it...right? Well in the pic I am providing this time there is a tiny rock formed next to a pre-existing rock. I am getting so frustrated with this....i don't wanna time travel and mess things up that way....i just want this last rock to spawn!!!! Ugh!!!

@DrkPhx, the only other thing I can think of, besides @silveraquila's suggestion, is removing the incline (unfortunately) and bringing out the cliff out by one more row (so that there are three rows of cliffs in front of the first row of rocks). I had to do this back when I was making my rock garden (took a month without time-travel), and this is apparently not documented in any guides/references I've found.

Something similar happened to me too, and I think it was because I had some trees in the way (according to post #10 of this thread). I would say try removing everything around the area and use the mannequin method to try to get your last one to spawn!

someone had the problem in the past because of the residence location, if it is too close well it will never appear

Yup! Removing the ramp and bringing out the cliff was what worked for me to get the last rock to spawn. Afterwards, I re-constructed the incline. Hopefully, it's the same issue that you're experiencing now and not another factor. Good luck!

Just an update.....getting rid of the ramp worked!!! The rock finally spawned!! I got my rock garden where I want it now....thank you all for your advise!! I was aboit to go nuts with all those mannequins everywhere lol
