Rock dead zones?

Hi all,
Working on my rock garden.
I've allotted a bunch of free space (10*10) for rocks in one area, but they NEVER spawn there.
They spawn everywhere else

Are they near buildings? Cliffs? Are you destroying all the rocks? Are you blocking off all their spawn points so that they only spawn in that area?

Need more details to help.

So, I allow a 3*3 space away from cliffs

I've destroyed all the rocks and blocked off literally everywhere else

Are the rocks still spawning elsewhere? You need to block off EVERYTHING before expecting them to spawn in your area.

Also if a cliff or building is south, they won't spawn 4 blocks behind it.

It might be the cliffs issue...hmmm. what about in front of a cliff?

In front is usually not an issue, but from what I've seen I would just get rid of any cliffs near them until you get all 6 rocks. I say this because they might be coded in such a way to avoid cliffs unless there is absolutely no where else to spawn.
