Roald (ペンタ, Penta?) is a jock penguin villager from the Animal Crossing series. He has appeared in every game so far. Roald's name could possibly come from Roald Amundsen, the first person to reach the South Pole, the natural habitat of penguins.
At first, you might not see it, but Roald has a jock personality. You might not see it in him at first due to the fact that he is a penguin and has a Kiddie-themed room what makes him childish, and he has half-closed eyes (which make him look like like a lazy villager). So do not judge him at his first appearance - talk to him and you will see that he is really into sports. He claims to be the strongest villager in the town and goes waaaay overboard when it comes to fitness and muscles, much to the dismay of normal villagers who appear motherly towards him. Sometimes snooty villagers will ask him to move their house as a tease. He obviously does not, though. Roald is an active villager, so he is rarely inside his house, and never seems to get ill (like most of jock villagers). He often challenges the player to bug catching contests, and is interested in fossils and clothes. He's very friendly. Roald also enjoys a mocha with lots of milk and three spoonfuls of sugar.
Roald will be in boxes July 10th! I will take offers in IBG and TBT (I would prefer TBT, though.) He is not original.
