Rhythm games.

I love rhythm games. There are a lot that I'd love to play, but since they're Japanese arcade games I just don't have the opportunity to. I used to play Stepmania a lot after my DDR dance pad stopped working properly. I tried osu but I feel like it'd be a lot easier if I had a tablet to play on, so I just went and bought Ouendan instead (Ouendan 2 to be more specific, since it was cheaper). Lately I've been playing Melody's Escape. It's not a perfect game, but it's fun once your eyes adjust to the motion blur.

I've wanted to try Project Diva for a while, but I still haven't yet. Bakumatsu Rock also caught my attention since it's getting an anime this summer, but I feel like not knowing Japanese might make that game less fun than it did with Ouendan.

I am addicted to Rhythm Thief fantastic animated story and about 50 Rhythm games to collect with some awesome songs^_^ I got it in e-shop and I am stuck on a rhythm game lol. But it adds a story so for people like me who like the dashing thief-like characters with a hint of romance and some great face-off rhythm games great game for sure

So great to see so many fellow rhythm game fans here. Rhythm is my favorite genre. I play osu!, DDR, PIU, Rockband, Rhythm Heaven, and Percussion Master.

I just wish Konami would create good new arcade machines for DDR, because all of the machines around my area are messed up, and while I love PIU, DDR always holds a special place in my heart.

Gitaroo Man will always be one of my favorites. The Legendary Theme is even my town tune in New Leaf right now.

I also really enjoy DDR, Beatmania, Taiko no Tatsujin, Elite Beat Agents/Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan!, DJ Max Technika, Unison, and Daigasso! Band Brothers.

I love rhythm games! Probably because I'm very good at them lol. Rhythm heaven was fantastic, and I also downloaded the demo for Theatrhythm (final fantasy spin off). I really enjoyed the demo!

Omg! I forgot about Harmoknight! I love that game, I played it non-stop until I got all the gold flowers on normal and fast mode.

I tried the demo of Harmoknight a few days ago. I was pleasently surprised to find how challenging it was, even at earlier levels! I plan to buy it at some point but I've never bought anything from the eShop before, so I'm not sure what to do just yet.

Has anyone ever played MMO rhythm games? Like Audition Online, High Street 5, etc.? I mainly mean ones where you have a character you can dress up and such, not just pure gameplay and a simple image for an avatar like Osu.

Also, I really REALLY miss Stepmania. I can never find song packs anymore without them being broken or my game being broken... it's really sad.

WOW. I'm super happy to hear that! I've not even played Project Mirai before but it looks great!

I also just tried the demo of Rhythm Thief that someone mentioned here before. I loved it! Although it's the most expensive game I've seen so far in the eShop at ?40 and right now I can't afford it. :c

I love them! I used to play Guitar Hero and Rock Band for hours on end! I also like the DDR series, and I regret never having the console version.
