I'm considering resetting my current town simply because I've got bored of the game. I've played it for a year (not the same town) and I've seen everything (or nearly everything - not got all the badges etc).

So I'm thinking that resetting might give me a fresh start and get me back into the game again. But I really don't want to do it and then regret it. I've had my current town for 5-ish months and it took me weeks of resetting to find one that I like...

Here's my current map:

Really don't know what to do :/

An alternative to resetting is to completely re-landscape your town, or base it on a certain theme you like. You could plan new PWPs, parks, gardens... so many things you could do to get a fresh start while keeping the same town. :)

Have some friends over! Most of my friends have reset their town while I'm stuck with the silly little town of mine. Sometimes I get discouraged but then I think 'this is my town and I'm going to make it mine!'
Maybe make your town into a town you've always wanted?
Have friends over in your town. You just need motivation!

I would try and set new goals rather than reset your town - like change your landscaping, redecorate your house, get new villagers. If that still doesn't improve your enjoyment of the game then perhaps resetting is for the best, but think carefully before you do!

Thanks for the advice. I've decided to landscape my town again to freshen it up a little bit. I've also realised that I don't dislike my town, I'm just frustrated because I have a load of villagers I don't like and they all live in bad places. Once they've moved out, I'll be much happier with my town :3

I wouldn't reset, as you could regret it later, especially if it took you a long time to find your perfect town map. Instead, you could maybe change around your Public Works Projects or have some friends visit. That way, you won't get bored as easily! :D
I hope I helped! :)

I was never happy with my town, so I kept resetting and eventually I came across my current layout, plus I had perfect apples so I was really happy. Now, I'm also getting bored, so I decided to try and get some new villagers and redo my town a bit, and slowly but surely the urge to reset is going :)
