Hi everyone, I want to restart my game but I don't want to wait until next year to re-catch a bunch of stuff, so I was wondering if time travelling one day at a time could do anything really bad to my game?

I was going to set the time to the day the game came out in North America and just jump it ahead one day at a time, and tend to everything like weeds, villagers, trees, etc, but could things like museum completion/badges or anything else that's trackable get messed up by time travelling? I even thought about jumping back an entire year but I'm unsure about that and this is my first ever Animal Crossing game, so I don't want to break it.

I would like any opinions/facts on the matter, and if anyone cares I want to start over because I think my first town kind of sucks and I hate my characters eyes. Thanks for the help! :)

Well I've been restarting since June 9th, and I just got my town a couple days ago, and I've been time travelling so that my town was made on June 9th.

I however really am not a fan of time travelling, but that's all I had to do. I TT'ed back to normal date straight away.

However in your case, if you want to go for it. I'd just stick with the current date though. Seems like a hassle to do that.

None of that will be messed up by tting. TTing one day at a time is best if you are trying to prevent your town from getting too out of hand. Go for it and create the town of your dreams!

P.S. If you restart, can I buy any hybrids that you have?

I time travel every now and then and other than weeds nothing bad happens ^^.

Also, what villagers do you have? Maybe you can send some to other towns if you decide to restart :)
