Do you think it's better to go with a good map or good villagers? At first i thought when i'm going to reset it would be best to try and get the best villagers i want but if i have them all their houses might not be in good places. if i get them all after i cycle out some villagers i don't want then i obviously have the option to choose where they go. so yeah which do you think is more important?

A good map > Good starter villagers, in my opinion.

You can always change villagers, but you can never change the map / default fruits / placements etc.

Town map is permanent, villagers come and go.

I'd say getting a good town map is more important.

Yup, good map.
You can change your villagers later on, but a bad map can really ruin your gaming experience.

If you're talking starters villagers, they're not that important in my opinion. It can be fun to get starter villagers you wouldn't usually consider and if you really don't like them you can always swap them out. Having a bad map in general, though, is something you can't change later.

If you're asking whether it's more important where villagers place their homes or which villagers they are, then I don't care about house placement as much as I care about getting villagers I really like.
