Resource gathering tips & tricks?

So I really have been wanting to ask about how the people on TBT effectively and efficiently gather resources, e.g. fruits, plants, bells, villager pics, etc.

Also, as crazy as this sounds, I picked up an additional copy of the game to do some time-travelling to get some extra resources, but I'd really the input of someone who is even more experienced at the game than I am. I thank those of you who took the time to read this and respond. Good night!

You probably know most of this.

You can buy some of the plants and the persimmons fruit in the game from Leif, or trade for them in Re-Tail on the forum.

Fruits and flowers are easy.

Go to the island and do the tours. There are different fruits and flowers there. (Durians, Lychees, Mangoes, Lemons, Bananas, Coconuts).

The other fruit (of which, one is your towns native fruit) peaches, pears, oranges, apples and cherries can be given, or sent to you by your villagers, so write to them and make sure to attach a gift.

Villager pictures you'll get after completing tasks if you have a high friendship level, or on April Fools Day you can play a game with each villager and Blanca. Blanca will take the form of the villager whose house you're in, and they'll each tell you something that may or may not be true about that villager (it's easy to find the answers online) and if you guess who the fraud is, the real villager will give you their picture.

Bells are easy.

It's summer all year on the island, so get Kapp'n to take you there before 9.00 am when the expensive beetles and sharks/fish are about. The beetles and sharks stop spawning at 9.00 am, except whale sharks.

You can plant trees in the middle of your island using the fruit you collect on the mini tours. Plant coconuts and/or bananas as well to attract beetles.

I will usually just participate in the events to the best my ability while also being considerate of time. I keep an updated record on my inventory, so I will only really participate if I have space. Since you have two copies of space, it is up to you how much you would like to store. If you have something rare on the island, it would be helpful to buy multiples.
