I'm thinking of resetting.

No golden tools.

No extra bells.

Nothing.

But as much as I want to do this, I want to save the items that I've gotten, like the scorpio lantern, and I don't know what to do. On one plus, it be like starting over fresh slate new, but, on second hand. Do I want to lose the items I kept so hard to keep? >.<

what's the reason you want to reset? are you just bored of your layout and villagers? I don't see anything wrong with transferring your items to your new town, if you've spent a lot of time collecting them, do you really want to spend time to collect them all again?

I agree with the above, there's nothing wrong with transferring things over to a new town. You've already worked hard to get them once, I know I wouldn't want to put in all the work to obtain my furniture sets and pieces again.
It would be like a fresh start anyway with a new fresh town to build on, new villagers to experience.
If you've done everything you wanted to with your current town resetting isn't a bad idea :) although I would probably use my second cartridge to start over in case I wanted to go back to my main town at any point. Is that an option for you?

If you have been collecting the DLC, you won't be able to get that again via Nintendo (stopped distributing) - albeit some of it is orderable (I think the scorpio lamp is) some of it isn't.
The unorderable items might be difficult to trade for.

You could see if someone would hold items/bells while you reset. In reality nothing is essential, none of the DLC is game breaking, so base resetting or not, on reasons other than items.

You are all correct. It is, but... Something about it felt like, I breezed through the game so fast. It was losing its luster. So, for now, I'm going to try concentrating on else things, while playing it when I can. But thanks for all your opinions. I really appreciate that.

Here's my advice:

Transfer over any items that you think you won't be able to get in your new town. I'd transfer over the golden shovel and axe since those are annoying to get since you just have to buy things from Leif every day, but don't transfer the golden fishing rod, net, slingshot, and watering can since these are items you actually earn and are part of the game experience. Transfer over DLC since you can only get those items by trading now, but leave any other furniture you can get in your new town behind. As for bells, you can transfer them over to your new town since it can be tedious to make a ton of bells back, but just put those bells in your ABD for at least a month or two and don't touch them so that you can have the experience of making bells in your new town before you get bored and start withdrawing from your stash.
