resetting and campers

i just need to know real quick before i shut off the game and continue resetting- is it at all possible to have a camper move in while there is a new house plot set down. stitches is camping while im resetting and im so frustrated omg

I would say yes, because their plot is already set. It counts as a new day, so you can ask another villager to move in. Go for it.

i'm a little hesitant because charlise has her house down in an awful spot and i'm not sure if stitches will actually move in or not. x_x has it worked for you before?

I've never tried it, but the logic is that if Charlise's plot is set, she's GOING to move in. So if you ask Stitches to move in, it's a new day, he'll move in.
