Good evening, everyone! We have an egg hunt announcement! An additional clue for egg #21 will be posted Monday at 6 PM EDT if it hasn't been found by then. The egg hunt will also be extended until Tuesday morning at 10 AM EDT.
It's beautiful! My only critique is that the hair colour and the skin colour are extremely similar and it's kinda hard to see. That's probably just me being blind though.
It's really really cute!
Wow, I think this is really cute! I would totally buy one if it's on sale
But I agree with Pasta that the coloring of the hair and skin is quite similar,
but other than that, love it!! <3<3
mmmm I'm not exactly sure what type of critique you're looking for, but I'll point out some things that i think will benefit you if you work on them!
I think you need to work on your proportions the most, maybe try working on your images zoomed out, so you can view everything and how the body looks together. Your character tilts a bit to the left, making her look like she's falling backwards, so working in a more full-size screen will help you catch this while you're drawing. The proportions of the limbs aren't bad at all! They look about the right length to me, but the hands and feet are way too tiny and lack dimension. Try to work on how hands look and search up some tutorials (although if you ask me, it just takes years of repetition to really get it down and I still haven't myself) So don't let that discourage you. Nothing looks too off to me shading-wise, but don't be afraid to use dark colors and try to use colored shades instead of blacks and whites. Wouldn't hurt to look up a bit on clothing folds either, since you seem to shy away from them as well. :> Hope this helps!
It's very cute! though I can find many things to critique haha. I'll just summarize the more important things:
1. Like kyukon said, she seems to be leaning back too much. This happens a lot to me so what I do is regularly flip the canvas so that the person is facing the other way. That way you can tell if she's a little tilted.
2. You are missing some shading where it should be. For example, under the cloak, it's going to be dark, so remember to add shading there. Also, under the knees and the nose there could be more shading. And the shading under the head should be one of the darkest areas imo. I know you're probably going for a pale-pastel sort of effect in this drawing, but the shading should be a bit more noticeable.
3. The thigh of the bent leg looks a little off -- the top (front) of the thigh should be curved outwards more rather than being a line. Your anatomy in general could use a bit of work.
4. You're missing her eyebrows (unless they're too light to see) and her other arm. Honestly, the hair color isn't that similar to the skin color -- it could work. Put more shading under the hair tho.
It's a really good drawing tho, I would definitely pay for one
i think you should work with refrences - when i drew, i did and it helped me a lot! even if you're just copying the poses, it helps you get a better sense of anatomy. also, you're missing the other arm, the eyebrows, and (i think) the nose! (if the nose is there it's too light) you should also try out different eye styles, this one looks too 'anime wannabe style' for me? idk haha
but i love the hair!!!! its really good. if you improve you should really sell your art!!
it's rly cute i lOVE the shirt and colouring!! you should probably study anatomy and body proportions a bit more though. her arm is a bit wonky and her neck isn't realistic. also it kind of looks like her leg is in a weird position and like she's about to fall over because the body is tilted a little ;;
