Repeating birthday for Nook Miles achievement?

I have been letting villagers move in and out for the past several months so I can get their posters, and it's really only dumb luck I've made it up to 15 birthdays after a year and a half of gameplay, including mine twice.

My next villager birthday is Flora, and I'm wondering if it's possible to TT forward to her birthday, give her a gift, then go back and do it again or just wait until it comes normally, and each time will count towards the achievement?

Has anyone tried this before?

It's up to you and how you want to play. Time travel will work if you want to complete the achievement faster.

I can confirm that this works. Back before I started my current island, I had TT'ed to a villager birthday and did it as normal. I checked the achievement and it counted. The next day rolls around and I TT"ed back to the birthday and did it again (its a good way to farm friendship) and checked the achievement. It counted.
