Repeated DIYs

I'm just wondering if anyone has experienced this...

So I know we can often get the same DIY from our villagers and although sometimes annoying I can get over this.


However... I have had Wolfgang on my island for about 2 weeks. He arrived at my campsite naturally and he moved in. In this time, he has probably been crafting about 3 times, and each time he has given me the DIY for a Gong.

So yeah... has anyone else experienced this?? I don't need any more gong recipes

This happened to me with Tybalt, always giving me a Pear Bed for some reason.

I know it has nothing to do with it, but I thought it's probably because I always play at the same hour in the morning. So I tried to break routine and intentionally played at night on different days. One time, I saw him crafting and he finally gave me a different recipe.

This happens to me all the time. I have a whole pile of DIY projects just laying on my island being useless since I don't feel like destroying them.

Yes my Gong brother, I must've had at least 10+ Gong DIY's given to me by my villagers (mainly cherry) at this point, had to end up throwing away the majority of them because no one needs to learn that much about gong's. In my headcanon I like to think Cherry just thought it was funny, so she kept spamming me with them.

For some reason all of my villagers have been really stuck on the cherry DIYs and every single day I get at least one cherry wall or umbrella DIY. It's at the point where it's been the same every single day. This has been going on for a few weeks. Prior to that I'd get way more variety! I certainly don't have anywhere near the full set of DIYs and I wish there was more variation in their crafting!
