Well they were obtained by hacking before it started and some people were a bit impatient by then. I’m not surprised though if the value is deflated now.

I honestly forgot these items were being sold for insane prices and even irl currency. Wonder what the reaction to those that bought them hacked were when they found out getting these items is super easy.

It can if done wrong, and I've heard the Switch, while not impossible, is harder to hack than the 3DSs were

I wonder why people even bougt the wedding stuff to begin with before the event. Didn't we all already know it was coming up? They just bought it to be 'special', not so special now when they've tanked RLC/tons of bells/NMTs for items literally given to us for the first 6-7 days of the event.

This whole thing makes me think of the White Festive Tree in NL. People were selling it on here for like 200TBT per tree.

Then it was released via mail to everyone for free. LOL

I think overpriced items stems from people wanting to have a 'unique' island with items not being available to many people and are willingly to pay the price for it which is stupid imo. All people could do is wait but I guess impatience gets the better of them.

Yeah the only reason to hack it was to sell the items for real money on eBay. What I can’t fathom is why anyone would pay for it instead of waiting literally four weeks.

Yeah I decided not to be impatient and just wait to get the set the right way. Sucks the fun out of the game if you speed run it.
