Unfortunately, I cannot find the discussion on SquidBoards, but, if memory serves, NWPlayer123 uploaded a video on YouTube showing the results of a hack allowing him to quickly fill up the special gauge and launch Inkstrikes every few seconds. There was a bit of heated discussion about it, and he tried to calm fears by talking about how cautious he is, and that he was playing mostly with people in on his experiments.

Well, I was playing Turf Wars a few minutes ago when the other team did that exact thing: launching Inkstrikes every few seconds. I do not know if it was one player or several, but they filled the map entirely that way in no time.

This is the first time I've seen that and there is no indication to me this would become common. It was just an unusual experience I thought worth mentioning here.

Relatedly, I am wondering if anyone here has seen this personally, too? And if they have only seen it in Turf Wars, or in Ranked, as well?

Interesting. How many players were capable of launching Inkstrikes? If more than four were launched (assuming everyone could launch one), it's definitely suspicious, but I have seen a team of Slosher players launch one right after the other before.

Hard to say, but the Inkstrikes were nonstop; the entire map remained covered and I spent the whole game cleaning up Inkstrikes. We had a full team and all scored well despite losing (and despite the entire map being covered by the other team).

But yeah, I believe there was more than one launch at a time, for sure.

Maybe they was filling up the special with the Aerospam MLG
When the inkstrike spam started?

Maybe I am just not used to how overwhelming Inkstrikes can be with four of those weapon. I believe one player had that weapon for that match, but I do not know about the other three. I will simply have to pay closer attention in case it happens again. But I find it a bit strange that I would play for so long without feeling this overwhelmed by Inkstrikes. I mean, I have seen Inkstrike spamming teams before, but nothing like this. Edit: In regards to timing, the Inkstrikes started going off much sooner than I could fill my special gauge as an Inkbrush user.

Again, I'll just have to pay closer attention to remembering the weapons next time I notice it.
