I've encountered this several times now. Every now and then villagers will ask for any insect that is found on flowers. They specifically say ANY bug that's found on flowers. Regular stinkbugs don't seem to count because they won't take them. Man-faced stinkbugs do though. It makes no sense to me because stinkbugs ONLY spawn on flowers.

Has anyone else encountered this?

I don't allow bugs and most fish in their homes but wow that's a very strange thing.

That's odd. I've had multiple villagers specifically ask me for stinkbugs. I haven't had villagers ask me for flower insects yet but I wonder why only man-fan faced stinkbugs count when they ask you for insects found on flowers.

I've been encountering the same problem too and I really can't think of any reason why a stinkbug doesn't count as a flower insect, which might count as a very strange technical bug in the game?

I somehow keep getting this request at night so I haven't been able to test this out with other flower insects, like ladybugs, mantises, orchid mantises, etc. The only choices for that show up on flowers at night in northern hemisphere right now are stinkbugs and man-faced stinkbugs.

I'm curious if this works OK with the other flower bugs or not. If anyone else has noticed anything, I'd love to hear it.

OK, good! I mean, it's not good in that I don't think this should be happening. But this is one thing I haven't seen people talk about yet, so wondered if it was only me.
