Regretting Cafe/Police station placement (permanent PWP rant)

I know we can't remove them and it's a huge pain. Mine aren't in a terrible spot but i could have made a really nice center park instead of one by my inner waterfall and they are separate from all of the other places in my town not by main street (Retail, town hall and the plaza are all on the same part of town very close to the same line)

Have you ever gotten frustrated with placement of permanent PWP's that you are not willing to reset for? Did you work around them?

I like my placements for both the Reset Center and my Cafe
My Cafe is right behind the Town Hall and to the Left of the Police Station.
My Reset Center is infront of the Plaza and before all of my Face-Cutout Standees.
It looks cute where it is placed~

One big reason why I reset my old town was because of my Cafe placement. I thought I just couldn't work around it. Now I'm scared to even try and place them in my new town because I think I'll make a bad decision and hate it :c

I like my cafe placement. I hated my old one though. And the other buildings, that's one of the many reasons I reset my old town. I don't really go much on my campsite but there's no where better for it.

As soon as I found out they were permanent I got all panicky and agonized over how to place them in my towns. I am glad to say I've never regretted a placement yet, but that's only because I figured out how much space I needed and planned out where I was gonna put them for what felt like AGES before I actually placed them
I think the deciding factor for me if I placed them someplace I wasn't totally happy with would be if I felt like i could work with it or not and how much money I'd already sunk into the town. I think if the placement was hard enough to work with it would be worth resetting to me.

absolutely hated my cafe and campsite placement I'm map resetting for a new town rn and trying to plan where I'd put perm buildings before sticking with one.

Does anyone know how far away the cafe could be from the plaza? Is it 3 empty squares between them?

They're in decent spots so I like them well enough. I didn't know about resetting maps when I first started so I just stuck with the map I have and worked around retail, town plaza, and town hall. It's decent enough. Kinda wished retail was either closer to the beach ramps or train station but oh well. I definitely had to work around everything though so that wasn't really fun when deciding to place paths.

My police station is one row off of where I wanted it to be, but I worked around that and it looks nice now. The caf? is in a perfect spot with a nice view and chairs for people to relax in. I probably should have placed the campsite more in an area with trees. However, I wanted the campsite to be accessible when villagers visit so ehh. (Just think of it as a backyard camp when you were kids and your parents didn't allow you to go camping for real lol) Reset center is just a little manhole cover next to the train station. I think I regret that decision the most because it makes the spot imbalanced sort of, but i didn't realy know where else to put it at the time. At least it's noticeable when it's open, that's probably why I got the Resetti brothers' pictures so fast lol

I actually really like all of my placements, which is surprising since I'm extremely indecisive. I do however, really wish they would change that. It's kinda... not fair, y'know?

I don't mind where my campsite is now, but I could have put it in a better place instead of along the beach.

I'm actually happy about my Cafe placement, it's at a position that makes sense (close the the Train Station), so that people can enjoy a coffee while coming or going. It's also very close to the Market Street, so that you can grab a quick coffee if you get thirsty in the middle of a shopping spree!
My campsite placement is not bad either, at least in my humble opinion; it's at a more forested area without being in the middle of nowhere.
Now regarding the police station...my town is a cop-free zone, and I'd like to keep it that way!
All my citizens are law abiding as far as I'm concerned, any law breaking visitors are sacrificed under the full moon in the middle of our Stonehenge

I'm really unhappy with my campsite placement, I putted it in the bottom of my town, instead of the cozy forest I'm creating at the other side, whenever I look at it ughh I get so frustated

I regret ever putting one in. I never use my police station, and I could have done something better with the space that the ugly building is on.

I don't regret the police stations placement but I do wish I'd gone for the modern one in Eternia instead, I think it would look better.

I've never really regretted getting a permanent PWP such as the Police station, Cafe or Reset center.
I think mine are all in pretty good spots besides my reset center. Despite being only 1x1 in size,
the area around it is basically a 3x3 dead-zone now. plus I found a much better spot for it later on.
Oh well, It's not too bad so I don't mind it too much.
I only also get the Police Station out of habit and also because Booker is really cute ;v;

In my old towns I didn't like the placements so many times! In my old second town (which I'm going to reset soon) I did like the placement of my cafe, because it was firmly in the space in the upside down U shaped river area of my map. My current main town is the only town where I've actually really even had the campsite. I can't remember having it in a old town without that town being reset soon after. It's really nice having it and actually being really happy with it and the surrounding area I have themed around it!

I don't have the cafe yet in my main town, but I think I know where I want to put it. It was a near miss on placing it somewhere else, but I decided at the last minute (as in just a second before I was going to confirm it to Isabelle) that I wanted to put one of my alt characters there instead. Now I think I want it close to my waterfall/beach. The door is only 1-2 spaces from the cliff, but I'm planning on having a small area with a bench or two, and maybe some other things, to the side of it, so that little area would be between the cafe and waterfall. Normally I wouldn't have placed it so close to a cliff so that there was no space to put anything in front of it, but because I can have this little section to the side of it, I feel ok, like it's a beach front cafe overlooking the ocean with an outside area viewing the waterfall.

Oh and as for the police station, I've never really had it in a old town before, just because I could never decide between the two choices! I'm waiting until I'm completely sure of the general "theme" of my town, and what would be around it before I choose this time. I don't really have a "theme" exactly, just a general feel to the town, so that makes it harder for me to choose personally. My town is supposed to be a little town/village in a forest that is by a small cove, so the wooden police station would be best, but I think I'm going to have the modern train station and town hall, so the other police station would work better maybe.

I made a cafe and I like the location, but I decided a while ago that I'd never make a police station. I can't really justify the space lost, and I don't like how the stations look. That, and they don't really do much.

I don't mind my campsite or my police station, but the Cafe was one of the first PWPs I was able to unlock. So in my haste, I wanted to put it somewhere close to my mayor's house to get to it easier. I put it right in from on the train station while blocking a path to my Re-Tail. I facepalmed so hard after I realized my mistake while putting down my actual paths a month later.

In my super old town, I actually reset it because I had the cafe in such a bad spot. It was in the way of everything and I hated it!
Currently I really like where my cafe is, and I actually just was recommended the Police Station PWP today (thank you Marshal!) I need to figure out where to put it. Sometimes I just wish for other people's inputs.
