Refurbished yellow leaf item?

I could of sworn that back in the day when I first started playing in my Blubell town, that I had a fancy frame customized with a qr from another person and once I deleted the pattern it stayed. It was a long time ago so I’m probably remembering wrong.

Well, I don't know if amiibo update changed something around it. However today I did some experiments.
This includes 2 characters. ( Those 2 characters don't have to be from the same town btw. ) Say, character A and character B.

1. A makes a furniture that has fabric refurbished by his own QR.
2. A puts it up in Re-tail.
3. B buys it from Re-tail and puts it in his room.
4. A changes this QR.
5. Then the design of this furniture that's in B's room stays.

I don't know if you can use this for something or not... 'cause when B is gonna buy A's customized furniture, B has to save the QR somewhere in his QR slot...
