No, you're able to visibly see which of the artworks are fake and real!

No, at least one item is real. Once in awhile he might have two, but if you are having a hard time identifying what's real, trying looking up a guide. I sometimes use Thonky.com as my guide to see what's real. You could do that if you want.

Here's a guide for future reference! The grid will tell you which ones are real, which ones are fake. Only one out of the four are genuine if I can remember correctly.

It doesn't happen too often, but you're able to get multiple legit artworks!
The most I've gotten at one time was three.

I can confirm this, I have seen 2 at once before (1 was one that had a true & fake form while the other was one that was always genuine). I wonder if the works that are always genuine are the reason why it is possible to have multiple authentic works at once possibly? When you saw 3 at once Snoweque, which pieces of art were they if you can remember?

I wouldn't doubt that I've maybe gotten two real and fake versions before, it's been so long though at this point haha.

That is a very interesting phenomenon then! I wonder if anyone else has experienced this observation as well, because if always legit works of art are the reason multiples are possible, that kind of needs to be added to all of the different AC wiki pages out there (I honestly think it is a neat and useful fact)!

There are some paintings, not alot, a few, that do not have a fake version at all.

I think I'm messing up Redd a little. In Moriyo, Redd's tent is like a HQ to buy painting from Moriyo residents and Treehut residents. Neither towns museum us complete, but Moriyo is mostly complete. If Moriyo has that painting, Treehut will come over and buy it. I've been able to find real version of statues and painting after Moriyo has them in the museum. It's only happened in Moriyo so far.

It finally happened today! I got two artworks that have fake versions, but both were real.
They were the ancient and valiant statues.
This then confirms that multiple artworks are not just always genuine pieces.

That is awesome Snow that we were able to confirm our theory and expand a bit on how multiples occur!

Man, I wish I had that luck! I remember my kid self not knowing about genuine vs fake and getting super peeved when stupid old Blathers wouldn't take my statue that I paid good money for. Sly fox!
