Redd won't come but museum has art option

I missed Redd on his first visit. After that, I haven't been able to see him at all. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Get a real piece of art from someone else then give it to Blathers.

Have you talked to Redd at all? You shouldn't be able to open the art museum without getting a piece of art from Redd to start the museum. Otherwise, it's just up to see if he'll visit you that week like the other travelling NPCs

If all else fails, I second the suggestion of getting a real piece of art and donating it to Blathers to see what happens

I haven't talked to Redd at all, Blathers just talks about wanting art all the time. I hope I am able to get real art somewhere.

I think Redd should visit the first day the museum opens after upgrading. Have you tried time traveling back to that day to talk to Redd?

I seem to have really good luck in game because I’ve seen Redd so many times compared to others it’s insane. so next time he comes and has a real piece of art you’d be welcome to come buy it to see if that fixes your problem!

Other people who've had this issue have fixed it by buying genuine art from Redd from another user here. There are apparently issues with getting him to spawn if you miss the first day he shows up after talking to Blathers about a potential new section.
