Is it just me or are statues nearly impossible to collect?

No, they are harder to collect - you can get pictures from villagers, but not statues. I'm also not sure there are statues that are always genuine, but there are paintings that are. There are more paintings, though, too.

I also find the statues annoying to collect. Considering there are less statues than paintings, you would think it would be easier to find a real statue but no. The hardest one for me has to be the Nike Statue, I think it's called Valiant? The one with the feathery angel wings.

No, I was lucky enough to get one from Redd today. They're just less common.

They're certainly hard to come by. It's almost always the last thing I'll need to collect.

Compared to paintings, statues definitely are harder to find and to my knowledge none of the statues are always genuine which adds to the challenge even more! I definitely would recommend buying them on here because I have found that is the only reliable way of getting all of them since every town has a “Item Set” which makes certain items rarer than others. o/ For me, I couldn’t get the Perfect Painting for the life of me so I had to buy it on here to finish my art section!

There are no always-genuine statues (I use this guide, which has good close ups of the real vs fake artwork side by side). I have yet to see a real Beautiful Statue or Robust Statue, but I see loads of fakes of them both each. I feel so close on completing the art wing (I think I need five pieces?) but Redd keeps showing me the same things every week. Stupid Item Set.

For me, I couldn’t get the Perfect Painting for the life of me so I had to buy it on here to finish my art section!

Makes me feel lucky! A villager today just up and offered to sell me the Perfect Painting, I bought it and Blathers took it. I was glad. lol

You definitely are very lucky for sure! xD I still find it crazy how certain paintings that are deemed common can be god tier rare in other towns just by the "Item Set/Group" assigned to it! lol

^Agreed, the famous painting was the last thing taunting me in New Town's museum forEVER, but I found it relatively easy in Moriyo and Treehut.

Yes, but my cell phone hotspot is such trash I've basically given up on any sort of online multiplayer. Which is why I haven't been on the Train station board or ReTail boards.

This is my issue too :< I can't even get on a stable hotspot connection for a few seconds to update my dream address.

Anyways, I agree that statues are pain. They are almost always fake when they appear at my Redds. I guess it's harder as well because you'll never come across an "always genuine" statue. I think the last statue for me to collect is the Ancient Statue. I get so angry when I zoom in and the eyes are open

I've actually been looking for alternatives to my IP. I'll take that as not recommended.
