Redd hasnt showed up. How do I get him to?

I started a new island and was fasttraveling to get villagers out for villagers I wanted. Would stop and do other things in between TTing. Was given a painting, gave it to museum and expanded. I never got a message saying stranger has been seen on the island. I havent seen redd at all. Do I need to give more then 1 piece to the museum?

Redd is just a jerk. He'll show up when he feels like it...or, (more likely) he won't. Lol.

Unfortunately, it doesn't sound like there is anything to do on your end. You're just on Redd time.

Redd will not show up until Blathers informs you the museum is now accepting art. That is 60 donations

If not TTing, Redd is guaranteed to show up once every two weeks. There is a 20% chance to get him once a week.
