I lost a game cartridge a couple of months ago because it popped out the DS unit. I assumed I lost it outside, but found it in my home today. So the town would be somewhere in early June when last played. I got a new cartridge eventually and wanted to sort of pick up where I left off so started it as though it was June. I was going to speed through the days to the present time. But I am must to obsessive about my daily town activities to accomplish that so my new town is in mid July.
How will it affect the clocks if I switch games? Is there way to turn back the DS clock so that my old town is just as I left it without messing up my new town (or any other game with a time factor such as the Professor Layton daily puzzles?)
I am also thinking I would like one town to be more up to the present time so I can enjoy the seasonal activities but then I miss out of insects and fish along the way.
I am not sure what to do, or even what can be done to minimize possible villager loss etc.
The strangest part was I was just telling a friend this morning that my new town totally feels like home now.
