So me and my friend are trying to find some anime that neither of us have watched, and so far no luck.

unless you count school days to be lucky

So can you guys recommend us some? We really like gory horror stuff, but we don't mind happy clappy stuff either!
Also, please don't say "WATCH THIS BECAUSE THIS IS A FLAWLESS ANIME BEST EVER", we would like balanced opinions~

I've recently rewatched Azumanga Daioh, which was my favourite anime back when I was in school (~7 years ago), and I've enjoyed it just as much this time around. It's definitely more on the happy-clappy end of the scale, and nothing really happens, but it's just perfect chillout-watching and is sometimes extremely funny.

I don't think I'm doing a very good job selling it, so here's the TV Tropes page.

Do you have any preferences? Steins;Gate is really good, at first it's super confusing but it's amazing later.

maybe bakuman (about making manga), Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou (school comedy), gintama (comedy), hxh (shounen), mekakushi actors (drama, supernatural, unique art), denki-gai no honya-san (friendship, tiny bit ecchi, and takes place in a book store), Hori-san to Miyamura-kun (short friendship thingy), kimi to boku (friendship, school, daily life), kyousou giga (TV) (?????? weird but unique n nice), sukitte ii na yo (romance, shoujo), shinseikai yori (really good I can't explain it tho but yeee, friendship, love, mystery-ish and supernaturaL??), shirobako (about making anime), or usagi drop (cute about a guy adopiting a kid)

Idk :<

I heard it was pretty good, just not sure if I should watch Chaos;Head first or not. I heard they were related to each other.

goldfish warning (!), kaleido star, Sora no Manimani, fushigi yuugi, figure 17, kobato, Yakitake Japan, Popolocrois Monogatari, witch hunter robin, Tales of Eternia, Natsume Yuujinchou, melody of oblivion, xxxholic, akazukin chacha :D

It looks like it has nothing to do with it except for the name. It has an ok rating but to be blunt the characters look like an Angel Beats rip-off to me. :lemon:

Yes, do you already have a list of what you've already watched? I like gore and horror genres as well, but I haven't watched too much of those. Mostly thrillers or mystery. Are you also interested in those?

Good anime to watch.

Dog & Scissors
Assassination Classroom
Kill La Kill
Blood+
Gundam Build Fighters
Black Lagoon
Black Rock Shooter
Space Dandy
High School of The Dead
Tiger & Bunny

You should watch chaos heads, steins gates, and robotic notes and also they are all related to each other

Gakkou Gurashi is pretty interesting if you like anything with zombies. It looks like a moe slice of life on the surface but it gets pretty dark. Higurashi is also a really good horror, but you probably already watched it.

Akame ga Kill is pretty fun also. Crappy story but if you like gore then it's pretty entertaining.

if you want gore, you should definitely watch corpse party and elfen lied. corpse party is only like three episodes from what i recall, but the anime itself is really interesting & the gore is so detailed to the point where it just gets disturbing

higurashi no naku koro ni, alien 9, deadman wonderland??? i dunno.

steins;gate is a good one though, go for it.
