I think that I am *finally* ready to let Merengue seek out new ground (I adore her, but I really feel that my town needs a fresh face to shake things up a bit). I currently have two towns going, so I would like to avoid having duplicates of the same villager. Here are my current lineups:

Molly. She's a baby duck, still with her baby feathers that waddles around town looking up at you because she's short. Oh and she has a library in her house because (when she's not out swimming on ponds) she's sat at home reading and drinking cocoa, and that is just the cutest image ever.
Plus she looks funny in festivale clothing and that holiday is just around the corner!
I also second Goldie, she's adorable. Also, have you considered Flurry or Blanche?! I've got both in my town, and I'm always being asked if people can have them once they move out xD
My favorites are Shep, Lolly and Hopper. Shep is the only smug that doesn't creep me out when he flirts, he always felt like a blend of lazy and smug, he's very chilled out for being smug, not all formal like some of them feel.
Lolly is freaking adorable. I know all the villagers of the same type are basically the same, but for some reason when Lolly asks things or says things it always feels so much more personal than the other normal type villagers I've had (Flurry comes close to this too) I could seriously hang out with her all day.
And I've just loved Hopper since forever. He used to me much meaner (like all the crankies used to be) but even now, he's like a grumpy old man who wants the kids to get off his lawn, and I get the feeling that if I squeezed him he would squeak. B)
