recommend good NES games for me?

Edit: Also NES Remix is fun and all, but I got the 3DS version and all the Kirby's Adventure levels lag like crazy. I doubt it's like that in the Wii U releases.

im trying to get this snes emulator to work on my netbook but its telling me a .dll file is missin.

Legend of Zelda I + II if you want to play the classics. I personally feel the first Zelda feels REALLY dated, though I still liked Zelda II.

I second Kirby and Zelda... they are awesome.

Also: Megaman (any), Battletoads, Double Dragon, Castlevania I, TMNT, Batman, Contra, Rampage, Sunset Riders, and Paperboy.

I still have my NES! Doesn't work very well though, so I use Homebrew on my Wii.

Edit: Forgot S.R. is SNES. Still a great game!

I managed to get the N64 emulator working on my laptop and my laptop isn't meant for gaming, but it ran perfectly. The problem with all of these new games these days is that they manage to entertain you for hours on end. If I played a NES game rn I'd probably get bored of it within 5-10 minutes or so, unless it's a hugely popular game which is renowned for immersing gamers into hours of gaming fun.

Depends on the games (both old and new).

If a game is just as good as I remember it being, I'll at least play it through to the end. I think Banjo-Kazooie was the last 'older game' that held my attention all the way through. Or maybe Contra or Final Fantasy II.

With most new games I tend to get bored half way through since I'm just doing the 'same old' as in other games but with different cutscenes as the Devs try to push me as quickly as possible into the multiplayer. Seeing the game through to the end is usually so that the few hours I've already spent on it don't feel wasted...
Though the 3DS and WiiU tend to suffer from that a lot less...Like, almost not at all.
