No they don't burn, they are kind of sore, but not usually the first day. The second day hurts the most, but it is not really that bad.
 
^ so jelly! ive never had a cavatie its just my evil dentist pulled out 2 teeth when i was young and i guess the gum was soft so it screwed everything up..
