As a quirky person, this is how I use some K.K. Slider songs in the game:
- K.K. Ballad – 1950’s to 1970’s theme
- Bubblegum K.K. – winter party theme
- K.K. Condor – log cabin or southwestern theme
- K.K. Calypso – California theme

Technically, the feature where you can place object freely outside on the island had origins in Wild World.
- Wild World was the first game to have a feature where you can donate Bells. But it was more of a charity feature with the only prize being feathers.
- City Folk expanded on this feature, introducing projects that you can build by funding the town. The only projects back then were a third bridge, a fountain, and a lighthouse or windmill.
- New Leaf expanded on the feature brought by City Folk, where you have multiple projects to fund instead of just three. And you can place them anywhere.
- The freedom to place projects anywhere got more relaxed in New Horizons. You can place objects anywhere at no cost (but you may have to gather resources or spend Bells or Nook Miles to get the objects).

As someone who hasn't terraformed that much on my first island, the water terraforming is so uck. >.<
Can't entirely tell what I wanna do, but also not sure if I should make the rivers straight enough, or have the river bulky. Should I have waterfalls? I'm not sure, I'm tempte to go through dream addresses and youtube videos again.
If the villagers could be non existant while I terraform, that'd be great.

They need to bring back the credit card system from City Folk or make something new. Because it's not fun running back to the ABD when you don't have enough bells for something.
I loved that card and had hoped to see it in NH as well. At least, though, it's a lot easier now to get an ABD that can be set outside in your shopping area--that's what I did for my older town.
I like terraforming but it IS kind of a pain--especially since I'm not real great at always being in the right place. I'd been messing around with water features and Kyle asked about it, said he'd like me to dig a hot tub in his back yard. That's an interesting thought, actually.

Wow, that’s so long! I definitely have the shorter one. I wonder if it’s random or if it does depend on the original pier length you had.
I don't recall it being bad--I know I always enjoyed it and it's my favorite money maker in NH, mainly because compared to the old games they nerfed fishing and I get tired of making new equipment.
I had a discovery today in that hotel guests come back. Tex has been a repeat visitor (oh hey, I met you before!), talking about how much he likes Up Falls almost like he's hinting to move there. That would be a lovely feature. And even though they don't talk to the villagers they do wave at each other.

It’s because of the jellyfish, the despawning (the shadows disappear quite a bit), and the fact that the shadows can go on the other side of the boundary point.
Luckily, New Horizons gets rid of all three of these.
Oh yeah, so true! I forgot about those blasted jellyfish. Were not the shadows in NH also going beyond the barrier previously? I'm probably misremembering but was a little surprised the other day when one of the big fast shadows hit the barrier then turned back right into my grasp, but after a while stuff gets all scrambled up in my brain. (That was before I remembered in order to catch the really fast stuff pretend like you're not interested, just sort of tread water until you're over them, then dive.)

If they ever release another update to this game this is what I want.
New villager interactions can do favors for them, just like in GameCube, when you ask them if they have a job.
Bring back the hide-and-seek mini games. The only time you get to "Play" with your villagers is when they do a Treasure hunt, but that is locked behind having a high friendship, and it's RNG whenever you get it.
Certain items, such as "Manila Clams," must be stacked.
Make the "Bag" items a feature that expands our Pockets, as I get so fed up with my pockets being full. Of course, I have the Storage Shed to put things away, but it's annoying to have to store everything all the time. I want a "Bag" item to wear on my character so I can distinguish it from the items I hold in my pockets.
Add new Fruits. Seriously, they were able to add cooking to the game during the 2.0 update with many vegetables, and yet they have to add new fruits, especially from New Leaf. We need more variety of Fruit
Improve the DIY RNG. If they plan to add new DIYs in the future, ensure the DIYs you already have appear less frequently. I can't tell you how many times, even after the 3.0 update, I still keep getting DIYS that I already learned since day one in 2020.

In terms of items, the counterfeit paintings and counterfeit statues are the scum of the entire game. The lowest-selling fish and the lowest-selling bugs don’t make much, but even they make some Bells. Even weeds and trash are accepted by Timmy and Tommy and have a practical use. But counterfeit art, that’s the one item that Timmy and Tommy will not accept when you get rid of stuff. No villager wants them either.
Next game should make counterfeit art even more of a nuisance. Have any of them on display in your town, your town’s rating (for perfect town status) will significantly drop. Have them on display in your house, you’ll have the biggest point deduction from the HHA for each offending piece you put on display. Make them more hated than sea basses.

Do you think the campsite villagers are tied to your island rating ? I ask because I haven’t checked mine on my new island yet. I got my first visitor on Jan 20th. I haven’t had anyone visit since. Just the two I invited with Amiibo cards. I am pretty sure I had more visitors on my other islands.
I am not sure, I just know every day there's a certain percentage chance and it's like (gosh I love this site--look at that table c&ped into this post!) so at best you have a daily one-in-five chance of one appearing, and there won't be one on Saturday iirc:
