Random thoughts thread. (New Horizons)

Also getting rid of the dripfed content. If it was all there day 1 it would had been awesome. Having been with NH from day 1 it stunted the experience for me. I would had loved to have all the content and the only barrier to its access would've been my progress and not waiting for Nintendo to release it. Which we never knew when that would be so it made the experience all the more frustrating to me.

Yes definitely this. I had so much more fun with the game after I restarted it after all the updates were added. I hope the only thing they add in the next one is maybe some new furniture or clothing. It was crazy to me how long it took to get Brewster added. By the time he was added we had already done what you need to unlock him I game. It didn’t feel as satisfying as having to do things to get him he was just there. I like progression in game which I think they did better in NL.

Something tells me that I don't miss New Leaf, I just miss the fun friends that I once had back in the day. And I've neglected New Horizons for New Leaf all this time because of this.

So from now on, I'm going to give up the nostalgia factor for New Leaf and gear more towards New Horizons to give more of a chance on it and make some friends here or elsewhere and try and recap those fun moments I once had. More on it momentarily because the 3.0 update is coming out soon, and I wouldn't want to miss out on the fun of it due to a game that doesn't get updates anymore.

Sure, nostalgia is nice once in a while, but too much of it can change how you see the present that varies in person to person, whether that'd be good or bad.
