Random move in... TT help

So I thought plots stayed open for 2 days, so I went island hopping yesterday and did not find who I wanted, and was planning to go again today. I woke up and lucky purchased the plot, I don't really like him. If I TT to yesterday, will the plot still be open? Never did this and accept any advice
Edit: will it spoil the turnips I bought today?

Unfortunately there's nothing you can do at this point, if you TT one day backward it will count as one day forward in Lucky's move in so he'll be on your island regardless...
And yes, turnips will spoil if you TT backwards, even just one minute...

What you'll want to do to avoid this in the future is stay on the same day!
Island hop all day, and say you're done at 8pm and you haven't found anyone, next time you pick up your game set up your system time to that same day you island hopped, and like 8:01pm. (Or even earlier if you don't have turnips)
As long as you stay on the same day the plot will stay open.

Give a chance to Lucky to grow on you, he's super cute! If it doesn't work between you two, I'm sure once he's ready to move someone will want him on the New Neighbours network

Quite a few people are after Lucky so you could always try doing a villager trade with a villager you want if you don't mind them coming from another island. You'd need to move someone out first though for Lucky to want to move as the latest villager that moves in won't be prompted.

Yes, for me the plots only ever stayed open for 1 day so I was careful after finding that out in filling up my roster. I would recommend getting some amiibo cards if you have the spare cash.

My plots never stay open probably because there's a huge backlog in the void from the sheer amount of people I've traded with. I left a plot open yesterday and immediately Murphy from an island called 'Crest' moved in lol

Sadly no. to get rid of specific villager can be painful using TT as well.
