Random Club Tortimer experience.

Went to the island, saw another player there.
Went to pick some bananas. She then asked me, "Do you want to go on a tour?"
I went to pick some Durians. She randomly took one of the Durians from the tree I shook.
Clearly seeing that I wasn't interested in tours, she asked the same question again. I replied with "No." And went to shake a banana tree. She then dropped the Durian she took and walked off.
I'm just like, "....."

Hmm. It sounds like you didn't answer her the first time she asked, then rudely said "NO". Correct me if I'm wrong, but it sounds like you weren't being very friendly. Manners are important, ( even on an online video game) . It also doesn't sound like she really did anything wrong.

Agree with TheGreatBrain on this one, OP would have come across as rude, your other CT player just left you to it.
She didn't error, she didn't take anything, she was looking do tours, which is one of the reasons to go to CT - you get more medals if you do tours with other people.

Its been nearly a year since I last went on CT, because of the problems you can get.
I go in my own region about 2 - 3am to island hop for items.
Unfortunately I hit the shift workers and other insomaniacs as I rarely got an island to myself.
Players still want to do tours, and I don't - not at 2/3am - & I'm careful to stay in my own region (I'm in the UK, the max adrift it could be is one hour for mainland Europe).

I will be considered rude, I want to island hop & that makes the game save - when I arrive & again when I leave, which is annoying and I'm antisocial as I don't want to do tours.
I say hi and say I'm shopping/island hopping. I've been purposefully trapped or errored many times.
If I'm trapped or they act oddly (& I've had that too) I flip the wifi switch, I don't get involved in dialog.

CT is meant to be for us to socialise which is in conflict with wanting to just shop for the exclusive items.
I personally would not use the CT island to collect fruit or bugs/fish, would use my own island for that.

The girl was really nice. She tried to invite you to play games twice (since you ignored her the first time) and then she didn't flip the switch on you. Since she knew you were collecting fruit, she could have done that to get back at you for being rude to her. Personally, if all I wanted was fruit (or fish or bugs), I would have gone to my own island and taken some tours to find the fruit. I only go to CT to look for items I can't buy on my island. You're lucky your attitude didn't get you booted.
