I recently purchased a 3DS off of ebay, and a few days ago, I accidently dropped my 3DS. As of late last night, the R button on 3DS got stuck. Any suggestions? :(

contact and send it to nintendo, they might charge you for fixing it unless you have warranty on it.

My circle pad got stuck and I sent it to the place where they fix things (idk how to word it!) and the 3 days later I got it back, good as new! That was irrelevant as it's not the same button, but you can probably do the same thing.

If you do this you lose your warranty on your 3DS.

The topic creator bought it off from eBay, so the warranty status is unknown at this point. If the seller kept it for a least more than a year, then the warranty is already expired anyway.

Exactly, but it may also still have warranty, since it's renewable every year.

I'd just email nintendo and make sure to include your product number. They will be able to tell you if the 3DS is still in warranty.

Quick follow up, for some reason, the R button is little loose and it no longer displaying the message for activating the camera. For now, the R button is somewhat but not to the point where cause to display the camera message. Anyway, thank you everyone for giving me suggestions. I believe my 3DS is actually about 2 or 3 years, so the warranty had expired. Still, I'll contact Nintendo if this happens again. ;)

It could have been dirt. My friend has had his 3DS since launch and a few months ago the R button stopped working properly. Few weeks ago his L button stopped working properly. His dad used some 'air blower' thing on it and blew out a load of dirt that was stopping them from working without having to open the 3DS up.

It's a something to keep in mind even if yours is 'working' now since his was 'working' on and off for a few weeks until it just stopped.
