Quickest way to get unwanted villagers to consider moving?

Hi I'm working on filling my town with my ten dream villagers and I'm wondering if their are any effective methods to get an unwanted villager to think about moving, I have never tried time travel before, what effects does it have on your game?

Time traveling is very useful, however, you can lose villagers in the process. What I do is talk to all of my villagers to see if one of them is moving.

Honestly just ignore the villagers you don't want. Speak to them once when they've moved in and then never speak to them. I've had a few villagers move out quickly this way.

If you are going to time travel, go day by day and check to see if villagers ping to want to move out. It's a very useful method!

Thanks for all your help everybody I am going to try Time traveling but if that doesn't work I will just ignore the ones that I want to get rid of

This guide works quite well for TTing villagers out. The guide also mentions this video, which explains more about ignoring villagers to get them to move out.

I've never had any TTing accidents with this method.

When they move in and you dont like the way they look, just never introduce your self to them. I ignored 2 neighbors this way and they move out within 2 weeks.

I also have Greta the mouse, and never introduced myself to her, but she grew on me and I talked to her. She said she was lonely for a week and hated this town of being alone. Sad but true. So that is most reliable method i guess.
