quickest way to get kk to your island?

idk how many stars you need to have him come, but id like to get him here as quick as i can so i can get terraforming n stuff...

any tips on what to do to make this process go faster?

you will need 3 stars
the best way is to just decorate as much as you can with furniture, fencing, flowers and trees
even if it's just dumping loads of things in one spot, that's what my brother did

depends on what you're missing. I planted a ton of flowers and crafted a bunch of fencing (like 100 fencing), then just started making a grid around my island.

edit: you do need to have 10 villagers and enough bridges/inclines. not sure what the magic # is but I had 2 of each when I got my 3star.

Keep your island clear of DIYs, trash, and turnips on the ground. I cleared mine once and my rating increased 1 Star.

Honestly for me, once I put down my lighthouse I got a three star rating... I also had a few items on the beach (sand castle, outdoor bench and outdoor table), I only put out about half the fences Tom Nook gave me and had a small variety of flowers. When I went to check with Isabelle I thought it was a joke, since a lot of people seem to put in more effort for their 3 star rating.

Yes weeds too! They’re a lower priority though. I just cleared them all from the lowest level and kept them as-is in the 2nd and 3rd levels and am still 5 stars.

Regarding the villager amount, I’ve only ever had up to 8 villagers at once and still got 5 stars.

I noticed also that placing lots of crafted and higher-priced items in various areas of the island helped boost me to 5 stars quickly. So spread a variety of things out.

Get rid of your weeds, plant some flowers (you don't need a lot), put at least 50 fences, have 1 incline, and scatter random furniture around your island - about 10. Make sure you have some furniture on the beach, cliffs, and on normal terrain. This is all I needed to pass and I didn't have a bridge either

I kept my island clean from weeds and I got 9 villagers. I didn't need to decorate too much. I think I had around 11 pieces of furniture.

Oh and I had no inclines, three bridges and like, 30 fence pieces.

To clarify, you only need 8 villagers. Don't buy the remaining 2 slots as you can take your time either via saving enough nook miles to get nook miles ticket so you can invite your villagers or trade for them.

You do need to pick up weeds and decorate. Using the same basic decoration such as log gear and fencing will work. Note that Isabelle will actually give you pointers on what to focus on and it is real time. You don't need to make changes and wait for the next day. She will tell you a rough estimate on what you need to improve.

Since it's real time and you start at 1 star, you can actually build your island up to 2 start without having 8 villagers. When you get to 2 stars, get your 8 villagers and check back with Isabelle, you should be at 3 star now.
