How long do you have to wait until you can sit under your tree and see how much visitors you've had?

I thought so but I also time travel a lot and I've gone through at least a year in my game time but I still can't sit...?

I believe that the tree has to be a certain height before you can sit. This depends on how long you play Animal Crossing. The tree grows in stages. Once you have played fifty days and you've played for fifty hours, then the tree will grow again and you can sit on it.

i think it's worth noting that the 50 days isn't just more adding on to the 50 hours. it's basically playing on 50 seperate days. so if you play for an hour a day for 50 days, your tree should get to that size. or you could time travel and play for a few hours straight or something.
