I was just wondering, if you have two animal crossing games, do you need to have two ds's?
To be able to join and such :')

You can have two copies on the same 3DS just fine, but if you need to link up to trade items between the two you will need a second 3DS to do so.

You can move the items if you have a friend that plays ACNL.
Friend opens the gates and you drop the items. Save/quit and load the other game. Pick the stuff up.
My adult son opened his town so I could move items. I now have another 3DS.

Also, JSYK: If you want two towns on one 3DS, you'd have to have either two physical copies or a physical copy and a digital copy. You can't have two digital towns.

Correction : you can but you risk game corruption and possibly having two wonky acnl games

"Risk" being that you probably will just end up with one or two corrupted files. Don't even bother with trying two digital copies, people get corruptions just from trying to get pictures off of their SD cards.

I was just stating that it is not 'impossible' xD
