Quick question about time travelling

I need some help here.

I want to time travel to collect the bugs that i missed. I dont want to lose villagers though.

I have heard that if you have just stopped a villager from moving, you can time travel as far forward as you want without losing anyone.

I just stopped bob. My plan is to change the date to the month to get the bug, stop a mover, and repeat until i have all the bugs.

Is the stop villager method mentioned above true? by stopping bob from moving, am i safe?

if you plan on switching to different months - for example like if you're going to hop to september - you have to speak to each villager once at least so they ping you. Then you have to wait for another villager to ping you in the month you're in

If you play in "september" then jump to another month without waiting for another ping, you run the risk of losing a villager.

They get the "where have you been" dialogue after about a week

I was in July and TT to December for the fishing rod and 2 bugs.
Got the move out ping first. TT five months ahead and talked to all the villagers. They were upset that I was gone for 5 months.
Caught the two bugs and got my golden fishing rod. As soon as the tournament was over I spoke to all the villager.
Angus told me that Daisy was skipping town. Stopped the move and than went back to the real time.
Talked to them again to be safe and lost no one.

If i save and quit and reload the same day, will it affect this in any way?

As in just reload it without TT ? Not that I've seen in my own experience no
