I am playing through Pokemon Ruby again, and I am now at Groudon. I want a shiny Groudon, but I do not know if he will appear in the pool shiny or if I have to go and fight him to find out if he is shiny. Please tell me someone.

gotta fight him to see if he's shiny. if you want a GREEN groudon (shiny) save before him and just keep trying until you get him. ur chances are lke 1 to 8600

Thank you so much! I have already saved to where I just need to walk one step to start the battle.

Good luck! I'm trying for shiny legends with Leafgreen right now so I could transfer it to SoulSilver.

Yeah, I really want to have it follow me around on SoulSilver.
Same with Rayquaza

I have another question:

If I were to get sick of soft reseting so I use an AR to make all the pokemon I catch Shiny and catch a shiny Groudon that way, would it be considered cheating to use him in battle if I transferred him to D/P/PT/HG/SS?

Yes.

I don't think so, considering a shiny Pokemon has no real advantage over a regular Pokemon other than being sparkly.

Why?

Hacking is cheating.
No matter whether or not it gives you any real advantage, you still used an Action Replay to hack the game.

Yeah, but nobody would know. And if anyone figured it out, you could always lie.

Remember guys, I never used an AR to get my Shiny Groudon, Mr. Sparkles.

People cower in fear at the mere mention of Mr. Sparkles.

Yes, I have always wanted a shiny Groudon to name Mr. Sparkles, but it seems that once I caught him from my hours of soft reseting, I could only name him Mr.Sparkle

Oh well.

@Rawburt
You know it.

Well my shiny Latios, Falconoir, is from my Emerald and I didn't hack it.
It was by pure chance/luck.

I wasn't saying that having a shiny legendary is cheating. I'm saying having a hacked shiny legendary is cheating.
