How the event works:
On the first seven days, you will earn a maximum of 11 crystals. That's 77.
Every day after that, you can earn 15 crystals a day, which is 345.
All together, you can earn 422 crystals by playing the mini event every day.

Thus, you can earn the entire set without TT, yes.
It just takes time, and you will want to order things daily rather than save up and wait for the last few days, or you'll block yourself out from being able to order anymore items.

Fairly certain there's nothing special for doing this, since they're a new currency and their only purpose atm is to give them right get to Cyrus.
