Quick edit question [Solved]

Hi, I have a question about editing in conversations. I no longer see an edit button in conversations, can you no longer edit what you say? I see the button in threads, but it's nowhere to be found in conversations. Last night, it was there, but when I woke up, it was gone. What happened? Thanks in advance!

I've just been assuming it disappears after too long or when the post isn't the last one in the discussion — but I haven't tried to know exactly when it goes away?
