Questions regarding new villagers amiibo cards

For example, if I have one of the 50 new ones, can someone get them from my town/campground?
What about Sanrio cards?
I heard you can't trade them? Why so?

You cannot trade the Sanrio amiibo characters, nor can you trade other special character themed villagers. Nintendo probably did this to up their sales. As for the returning 50, they can be traded to other players, but only if you move them in first, and then put them in boxes.

Nope. Sanrio villagers are pretty much exclusive to those who get the cards. Same with Zelda and Splatoon.

Oh that's sad! I have all the Sanrio ones so I thought I could help other people out.

It's ok. I'm in the US and my cards ship.from the UK tomorrow. I think a lot of people are in the same boat as me!
